It is with great pleasure that we are announcing that that our own Steve Atkinson is our incoming Chief Executive Officer!

Steve started his work here at PCRS over 20 years ago as a Youth Worker in our Supported Group Homes and has worked his way up and through the organization in various roles including Employment Counsellor, Communications Manager and Executive Assistant. In 2010, Steve became a Manager of Employment Services and in 2015 became our Director of Finance and Administration.  Steve has a bachelor’s degree in psychology (Concordia University of Edmonton), and while working here at PCRS, completed his Masters of Business Administration (University of Phoenix) and his Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.

Steve knows PCRS well and in partnership with the Senior Leadership team will be leading the implementation of the Strategic Plan when it is completed later this year. Steve brings a unique mix of high-level strategic thinking with a hands on approach to getting the work done. He is collaborative and is well respected by his colleagues, peers and external partners and funders. Steve’s values are strongly aligned with those of PCRS and he leads with honesty, humility, integrity and care.

Steve will continue to work with Deb in the transition of the role until January 30th, giving him time to recruit for a new Director.

We have every confidence that Steve will lead PCRS into the future in service to our staff, the people we support and the communities we serve. All through the lens of our values and mission.

Please join us once again in congratulating Steve on his next journey.

Deb Anderson Eng, PCRS CEO PCRS
