Family and Youth Information (FYI)

The Family and Youth Information (FYI) Program is a part of the province-wide FASD Key Worker Program that supports families with youth with FASD and other CDBCs. Key Workers support families through counselling, information, parenting strategies, advocacy, family events, and education groups. Services can be offered in office, in the home, and in the community.

Eligibility

The FYI Program works with families living in Surrey (north of 48th Ave) with youth aged 12-18 who meet at least one of following criteria:

Currently on the waitlist for a CDBC assessment

Diagnosed FASD, suspected FASD, or documented prenatal substance exposure

A Complex Developmental and Behavioural Condition (CDBC) diagnosis

Entrance Requirements

Self-referrals, as well as referrals from a variety of sources including Sunny Hill Hospital Assessments, School educators and counsellors.
