For the past five years, youth and families in Surrey have waited for a Foundry centre to develop in the community, navigating health and wellness challenges on their own. Soon, they will have a new place to turn for hope, care, and support: Foundry Surrey.
Foundry Surrey will soon begin to provide support that is low-barrier, integrated, and immediately available, so young people don’t have to wait any longer to get help. The centre has been designed to make it easier for youth and families to access care. Services will include drop-in and appointment-based support with doctors, counsellors, peer support, housing and employment specialists, and more. Following ongoing consultation with local youth and community members – and to clearly anchor the location of the first Foundry in Surrey – the centre will be known going forward as Foundry Surrey-Central. The name reflects both its central location and its inclusive vision for all youth in the city.
Community champions have been key to making Foundry Surrey-Central a reality. Jen Temple, CFO of Trademark Group of Companies, shared why her family foundation has supported the project:
“When my youngest son graduated from kindergarten, he walked across the stage and proudly said, ‘I am your future.’ That moment stayed with me and shaped the work I do with youth today. They are our future, and we need to help if we can.
Our family foundation, The Gary and Gail Grelish Foundation, together with my parents and siblings, is dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Foundry Surrey supports three of our six key pillars, with a strong focus on trauma. In my opinion, what Foundry does will be a game-changer for the youth of Surrey—providing same-day help for youth who are struggling has the potential to change countless young lives for the better.”
The Surrey Fire Fighters’ Charitable Society has also stepped forward with strong support. President Saverio Lattanzio said:
“The Surrey Fire Fighters’ Charitable Society is proud to support Foundry Surrey because we believe that youth deserve timely access to mental health care, substance use support, and essential social services—all under one roof. Foundry will be a lifeline for young people in our city, and we encourage others in the community to step forward and help bring this vital resource across the finish line.”

As part of this effort, Jen Temple, alongside Jacquie Robertson, will host An Evening with Friends Gala on November 7, 2025, benefitting Foundry Surrey-Central. Community members are invited to take part and bring colleagues, friends, and family along for an unforgettable evening. The gala will feature a gourmet buffet dinner, inspiring guest speakers, a silent auction, and live entertainment and dancing – all in support of youth wellness. Proceeds will go directly toward completing the centre, helping ensure Surrey’s young people can access the supports they need, when they need them most.
