Available in Chilliwack

Traverse, located in Chilliwack, is a residential treatment program for youth ages 13-18, who want to work towards a healthier life by reducing their problematic relationship with substance use and mental health. Funded through Fraser Health in a brand new building through the support of BC Housing, this program works with youth to have individualized treatment plans that highlight their resilience and strengths, while enhancing their skills, with the support of our staff. Through a large focus on nature-based treatment, youth will learn more about their relationship with nature and the healing that can occur within it, while working towards all their personal health goals. Youth may stay up to 6 months in the program. To learn more about Traverse, see here.

Referral Process:

This program is open to youth who are currently residing in the Fraser Health region.  Prior to referral, the youth needs to be connected with a community professional support, such as:

  • Fraser Health MHSU Clinician
  • Child and Youth Mental Health Clinician
  • Fraser Health contracted Substance Use Counsellor

Together, complete the Fraser Health standard youth treatment form, then submit the form to the Fraser Health Specialized Intake Worker. For more information, see here.
