Youth Victim Services
Supporting youth who have been victims of crime.
This Vancouver youth service supports individuals ages 13-24 who have been victims of all types of crime. This is a community-based victim services program that provides support to all individuals regardless of whether or not they chose to report a crime to police.
This program aims to support the healing of individuals through the use of cultural healing opportunities, outreach, referrals and system navigation, access to counselling or mental health services, and assistance navigating legal and judicial matters.
This community-based victim service program will support individuals with critical incident response, Criminal Justice information and support, safety planning, as well as emotional and practical support.
The program employs both Indigenous and non-Indigenous approaches to support all victims.

Entrance Requirements
Youth can self-refer or be referred by a community social service support worker and any support worker attached to the criminal justice system.

You do not have to report your issue to the police to access this program. If you have been a victim of a crime and do not feel comfortable reporting it to the police, you can still access the Youth Victim Services Program.
The Youth Victim Support Worker is available to attend court as a support person. There may be occasions due to workload issues that the worker may not be able to attend on your specific court day, but every effort will be made to support the youth in person in the courtroom.
