This service allows you to apply for Vancouver housing sites including The Annex, Thompson Court, or Kwayatsut.
Program Features
After you apply, the intake worker should call you within three weeks to do a more in-depth assessment. If you are eligible, you will be placed on the waitlist and contacted for follow-up information every three months. The intake worker will try to contact you three times. If the intake worker cannot connect with you, your file may be closed.
If you are on the waitlist, we will schedule an interview with you when housing becomes available.
Program Details
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
- Youth ages 16 through 24*
- Youth willing to start, or are attending, a work or learning program
- Youth who can pay up to $450 for rent
- Youth who do not have substance use and/or mental health issues that would interfere with being successful in the program
*Average waitlist times are approximately two years. Applying after the age of 23 may not yield acceptance into our programs.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
You can expect to be on the waitlist anywhere from three months to two years. We try to contact everyone on the waitlist every three months until an opening becomes available. Your file could be closed if we have tried three times to contact you and we haven’t been successful, so please let us know if your contact details change!
