The Housing Rental Assistance Program provides youth with temporary help to afford market rent in the Lower Mainland.

Program Features

This program aims to help you save money while attending training, school, or work so that you can easily transition to financial independence.

You would receive a monthly subsidy of up to $250 dollars for a maximum of 18 months that helps to pay rent, utilities or transportation costs. You would be assigned a support worker who would assist you with budgeting and other help you might need.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

  • Youth ages 16 through 24
  • Living in the Lower Mainland
  • Have worked or been in a learning program in the last 3 months

    Housing Rental Assistance workers are available Monday to Friday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. There are also opportunities to connect with our outreach staff.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?

This program offers financial assistance and will help you learn budgeting and other life skills. Our support worker will visit your home every month to drop off cheques made out to landlords and review your goals to make sure you are on track.

Drop in to the Broadway Youth Resource Centre any time Monday to Friday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. to request an application and fill out required paperwork.
