The Surrey Youth Resource Centre’s Community Counselling Clinic provides easy and free access to both individual and family counselling.

Program Features

Services are offered out of both our City Centre Youth Hub and Newton Youth Resource Centres by Counselling Psychology and Social Work Master’s Level practicum students who staff the counselling clinic.
The students provide this free service and are provided with individual and group clinical supervision while they fulfill their practicum/intern requirements.

You can talk to Counsellors about:

  • School concerns
  • Relationships
  • Stress
  • Conflicts at home or with friends
  • Substance misuse
  • Self esteem, confidence
  • Grief and loss
  • Sexuality

How To Apply

The Community Counselling Clinic accepts self-referrals and/or referrals from someone the individual trusts such as a community professional, doctor, teacher, social worker, school counsellor, parent or friend. Please call 604 592 6200 and a student counsellor will call you to complete an intake questionnaire over the phone, which takes approximately ten minutes.
