PCRS seeks an experienced case manager to work with a dynamic team at our WorkBC Employment Services Centre in Surrey. The case manager provides case management services to persons with multiple employment barriers to help them reach their employment goals. The case manager is experienced with employment-related goal setting, case management, and organizing and delivering workshops.
The case manager/ job developer assesses participants and provides them with case management services and resource centre support. Services include, but are not limited to, administering needs assessment, identifying participant tier, developing collaborative action plans with participants, facilitating workshops, and monitoring and reporting participant progress utilizing the Integrated Case Management System (ICM). The case manager/ job developer demonstrates familiarity with local communities and employment resources. This position is part of a full-range WorkBC Employment Services Centre and while the primary duties described outline the core work, adaptability to meeting other service needs as they emerge, is required. The case manager has a thorough knowledge of theoretical counselling and career development methodologies, a familiarity with the Canadian Standards and Guidelines for Career Practitioners, and an in-depth knowledge of employment initiatives and the Employment Program of British Columbia (EPBC). The case manager/ job developer demonstrates an excellent level of written and verbal communication skills, organization skills, and demonstrates accuracy and attention to details.
The case manager/ job developer is responsible to increase employment outcomes by developing a variety of employment opportunities for participants by creating strong relationships with local employers. The case manager/ job developer will provide pre-screening services for employers to support their hiring needs, ensuring they are connected with suitable candidates.
Academic and Job Experience Required:
B.A. in a related field plus one year of employment/career counselling experience with multi-barriered participants, or, a career development practitioner certificate plus two years’ experience working in an employment setting.

- Driver’s license with business insurance use is required.

Salary Range: $23.31/hour – $26.53/hour
